Teacher Hannah (hanako)

Hannah is a TESOL and TEFL certified instructor and tutor with 5+ years of experience teaching English online, in-person, and abroad with adult learners. Hannah has completed her BA in English Education, emphasis in Language and Linguistics, from CSULB. She is currently completing her MA in Linguistics, emphasis in TESOL. She is expected to graduate by May 2023.

Unorthodox Pedagogical Methodology

Learning a language should be a fun, fulfilling, safe, and memorable experience. Reflecting on her experiences as both a teacher and student, Hannah provides an unorthodox spin on learning English with the incorporation of growth-reflective activities, gamified learning, and a Lo-Fi cafe environment.Furthermore, Hannah's multi-language-learning experiences provide an invaluable and insightful experience in promoting autonomous learning and monitoring language acquisition.

Hannah has grown up with a bi-cultural view in a low-income socioeconomic background; however, she was fortunate to learn from high-quality classrooms and education, resulting in countless recognitions ranging from Honor awards to Cum Laude.As an aspiring educator, Hannah recognized the lack of educational equity and opportunities across educational classrooms nationwide and internationally.Her vision is to democratize English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and offer high-quality learning experiences.
